Increasing Graphics Performance

The graphics performance on slower computers is very poor as shadows, fades, slides effects are enabled by default in Windows XP. If you disable all these, you can speed up your computer.

To turn these off follow these steps :

Right click on My Computer icon on desktop, Select Properties and wait for the System Properties dialog box. Click on Advanced tab and Under Performance, click on the Settings button, now in the next dialog box in the Visual Effects tab, uncheck all of them except Show shadows under mouse pointer and Show window contents while dragging options. Click on Apply - OK and close System Properties dialog box. You will now notice increase in performance of your computer.
